An excting, eclectic and organically inspired mix of fired stoneware and porcelain sculptures and ceramic art await you at Whispering Pines Studio & Gallery!
Inspired by natural surroundings, landscapes, or designs; each one-of-kind artistic piece is hand-crafted with skill, creativity, and precision.
THE PROCESS
Only the finest Florida porcelain and Minnesota stoneware is used in the process, which includes hand-drawn images or impressions, numerous glazing, and then high-fired in a propane kiln. Once created the piece is then set to dry for 2 weeks and then bisque fired at 1855 degrees Ferenheit for 6-8 hours, followed by multilevel glazing that is then fired around 2260 degrees Ferenheit to bring the piece to its final stage.

Priscilla & Her Studio
Priscilla Bachman has spent most of her life living in northern Michigan and traveling to the far corners of the world searching for inspiration for her art.
Her style is a mixture of natural elements from the northern and southwestern parts of the world. Common themes are abstract, natural settings, whimsical, & thematic.
Priscilla's education includes a Masters of Art Education from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Hillsdale College. She was the first Masters' student to present a comprehensive showing of her work in lieu of a Thesis at the University of New Mexico's Art Education Department! In addtion she has an completed extensive post graduate studies in education. She has also completed several master potters courses and workshops in New Mexico. Priscilla is an active volunteer for many organizations surrounding the Grand Traverse & Leelanau region.
